Suprabhatam

Suprabhatam means auspicious dawn. Sri Sankara offers this programme every morning at 6:30 AM to our viewers. It is a heart melting 30 minutes of enchanting divine music and eye filling visuals of abhishekam to the almighty. It is conducted by priests, by pouring libations on the idol of the deity being worshipped, amidst the chanting of mantras or hymns.

Suprabhatam is a very gripping programme not allowing the viewers to even move until it is over. The common belief of having a pleasant day after visualizing the abhishekam of the lord along with divine hymns chanted is fulfilled in this programme. Also because chanting or singing suprabhatam in the morning is believed to bring a lot of peace to the mind which in turn is very important for a peaceful day.

Sri Sankara offers prayers through this programme to 7 different deities on all 7 days of the week. Yet, the entire rituals specific to a god and specific hymns are taken care of.

This programme fills our viewers with calm and joy in the morning – start of a fresh day as they happily move on to the day ahead with the visuals of lord and his hymns in their hearts and minds.
